Description

You're an experienced credit controller, having worked in a small or medium-sized company where you've probably seen and done the whole sales ledger, credit control and cash allocation.

But it's the credit control bit you really enjoy.

You'd like to be doing it for a company which offers hybrid working (after a probationary period has been passed).

One which is well-established, has experienced enormous growth, and, with big investment, is looking to continue that growth.

This is the position for you.

And part of the plan for growth includes the imminent automation of many processes, so you won't be doing the sales ledger for more than a few months, other than casting your eye over things, before focusing on the stuff you really enjoy.

The ledger is complex with a proactive approach and attention to detail required.

You'll be using your fabulous interpersonal skills to adapt your style and approach depending on the best method for each contact within the organisations you'll be collecting from.

House-builders, in case you were wondering.

You know what's expected.

Processing invoices, sending monthly statements, setting up new customers, creating ad hoc reports and ensuring the company cash flow through the timely collection of monies, whilst managing queries.

Reporting to the FC, you'll be working alongside a purchase ledger clerk and a part-time accounts clerk.

The normal hours for the department are 8 am to 4.30 pm but there is the opportunity to be a bit flexible, provided you're still available for the hours your customers are about.

You'll work 100% in the office in Stevenage initially, getting to know the business and your colleagues whilst being supported to pick up processes and procedures as quickly as possible.

Once this is complete, you can continue to work in the office if you want to, or adapt to a hybrid working style with a couple of days at home.

Benefits include 22 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays) and a healthcare plan which helps towards regular treatments like dental and optician appointments.
