Description

The Resourcing Team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a fast paced, dynamic team responsible for recruiting all non-medical staff at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital to ensure wards and departments are fully staffed.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can provide senior support within our busy Resourcing service, leading our team of Band 3s within ourInternational andGeneral Recruitment workstreams, whilst also working collaboratively with our Onboarding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we develop and grow in line with the Trust's vision for the future and an evolving workforce

The role of Resourcing Advisor involves managing a variable and independent workload that can involve prioritisation of tasks and working to important deadlines and KPIs.

As the main part of the role, Resourcing Advisors are essentially responsible for providing advice and additional senior support within the Resourcing service, coordination of yearly cohort planning, monitoring compliance across pre-employment checks (right to work, DBS, Medical Clearance and references) and management of more complex Recruitment processes to ensure efficiency & accuracy.

We are looking for someone with a drive to provide support and direction to the Administrators and Assistants within their workstream, confidence to challenge or escalate against policies and procedures, excellent organisation skills and a commitment to working accuracy and efficiently in a busy environment.

Exemplary customer service skills along with a clear and concise communication manner both on the telephone and in writing are also essential.

An understanding of and experience working within the Recruitment life cycle is essential, while NHS specific experience or a thorough understanding of Recruitment within a Healthcare setting is preferable.

If you feel you have the skill, desire and experience required to make a difference, we would to hear from you

Our Resourcing Team consists of Resourcing Advisors, Administrators and Assistants within 3 workstreams; General Recruitment, International Recruitment and Onboarding, but providing service wide support under the direction of the Resourcing Team Leader and Head of Resourcing.

Our team are passionate about providing a positive first point of contact experience to recruiting managers, and new starters joining Gloucestershire Hospitals.

This role will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the underlying processes involved in the end to end recruitment cycle, while at the same time developing a sound knowledge of, and building valuable relationships with, a variety of departments and stakeholders across the Trust.

Your day to day will likely include:

  • Supporting Recruiting managers with adherence to the Trust Recruitment & Selection policy and compliance related to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Responsibility for training new colleagues and supporting ongoing development of staff and service
  • Responsibility for issuing Certificates of Sponsorship (both new starters and in Trust extensions) and monitoring Right to Work compliance in the Trust, particularly in relation to Skilled Worker Visas
  • Liaising with various external stakeholders including Recruitment agencies and housing providers, alongside other internal teams to facilitate efficient and successful onboarding
  • Working in collaboration with other Resourcing Advisors to manage yearly planning of various cohorts (particularly including international and newly registered nurses), efficient onboarding and regular data provision to further inform workforce forecasting and planning.
  • Supporting with the recruitment and onboarding of senior level and executive staff
  • Supporting the Lead Nurse for Recruitment & Retention with events attendance & planning
  • Monitoring Trac dashboard for issues or delays in the General Recruitment process and escalate as required
  • Managing auditing and administration of procurement systems and ordering / invoicing
  • Plus occasional involvement or support with regular Recruitment processes as required (see JD for further info).
