Role overview:
Hill have been awarded Rennie Estate Regeneration, an exciting new development of 49 new apartments in a block varying from five to twelve storys high.
As the Assistant Technical Coordinator you will be assisting with the control of the Technical role on a project/projects on time, to budget, to agreed quality standards, safely, by motivating teams, and performing to the highest level.
Role Scope:
Assisting with the technical role on various sized projects. May be involved in several projects at the same time dependent on size and progress of each scheme or part of a larger Technical team on one project
Success Measures:
Compliance with CDM regulations
Design risk assessments are appropriate ensuring mínimal risk
Design programmes are delivered effectively to cover pre-con period through to design completion
Design packages are produced on time and accurately to target programmes
The design meets each departments requirement eg cost, buildability, Customer Services
Consultants are working in line with the agreed design programme
Statutory delivery and authority requirements are understood and met
Completed programmes are handed over to the client in line with the contract requirements
Design complies with the relevant statutory bodies and current legislation
Construction and development are controlled in accordance with the drawings, schedules, ERs and specification provided
Hill standard details, Hill tender control document assumptions and compliance with the Hill change control process are met throughout the duration of the project
Handling, monitoring, and providing information in accordance with our company policies and procedures
Design represent good value and budget is achieved
Payment schedules are achieved
Value variations ahead of agreement with line manager
Assist with ensure payments are made on time in line with appointments
Assist with ensuring that the actual design represents good value within budget
Assist with ensuring any VE design is managed through the appropriate change control process

Skills, Experience and Attributes:
Working towards a relevant professional qualification to either Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5 CDM for Principal Designers awareness
Experience of assisting with coordinating and managing the design team on a project/range of projects
Ability to prioritise, negotiate, motivate, and communicate in order to ensure that the required objectives are met.
Skills including, good time management, organised, numerate, participate in meetings, works well to deadlines, accuracy in all areas
Aptitude to gain management skills in order to support trainee members of the team
Passionate about customer satisfaction, house building and construction
Awareness and basic experience of planning, financial and legal processes.
Basic knowledge of BIM Level 2 including COBie data drops
Understanding of Golden Thread requirements
Contribute to the preparation of programmes for the project
