With immediate effect we are seeking to recruit a Locum Paediatric Consultant to be part of a dynamic acute paediatric team.


The successful applicant will join a team of hospital based paediatricians who deliver a range of children's services with separate Paediatric and Neonatal rotas at consultant and trainee level.

We are looking to appoint a motivated colleague to join a team of 7 enthusiastic and forward thinking general Consultant Paediatricians.

The Paediatric Directorate has 23 consultants of whom 7 are acute, 8 community, 7 neonatal, and 1 paediatric audiovestibular consultant.

The post is intended to be part time on 10 PAs wth full on-call commitment.

We are looking for a colleague with good general paediatrics background to complement the existing team of consultants.

The appointee will be responsible for safeguarding assessment during out of hours as there is a regular safeguarding rota in place which is staffed by the community consultants.

As this vacancy is within the division of Women's and Children's, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service.

The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust.
