Overview of the role


Reporting to the HEO Management Information and Insights Support, the EO role is required to support the HEO Team Leader, in the development of a data insight driven team that has the capability and capacity to provide a single source of judicial HR data which will ensure the senior judiciary have confidence that our data is accurate, up to date and suitably protected and provide the judiciary and judicial HR with a data service that enables intelligent, effective and efficient decisions.

The HR Operations function is one of three portfolio areas within Judicial HR.

The Judicial HR Team is accountable for delivering the right judicial office holders with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time in support of the Lord Chief Justice and Senior President of Tribunals responsibilities for the welfare and conduct of the judiciary as set out in the Constitutional Reform Act 2005.

The team also supports and advises the advisory committees who carry out key functions in relation to the magistracy on behalf of the Lord Chancellor.


Summary


The team is responsible for developing a client-driven data management service and building the data skills, knowledge and behaviours in the wider HR Team, and earning the confidence from the judiciary that our data is accurate and suitably protected.

As the E-HR Data Support, the post holder will support the HEO Team Leader in delivering in a business-critical fast-paced working environment, this will include producing Management Information reports, working with stakeholders to ensure the data is accurate and up to date within the HRMI system (E-HR) in line with the data strategy, data sharing agreements and compliance with GDPR.


The post holder will provide a support service to HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) admin users as well as members of the judiciary in relation to the HR self-service function.

The post holder will also be responsible for managing and responding to a wide range of internal and external queries relating to HR data for both the courts and tribunals judiciary and the magistracy.


Responsibilities, Activities & Duties:


  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders (HMCTS/JO/MOJ) to ensure information held on E-HR is accurate and complete.
  • Preparing and running regular reports to identify any areas of inaccuracy in the data and highlighting potential training needs with the business to eradicate these errors.
  • Assisting the HEO Management Information and Insights Support in providing and running Management Information report requests for the Judicial Office, the Senior Judiciary, MOJ and HMCTS.
  • Manage all requests received from the business for access to E-HR and process them accordingly, depending on the business need.
  • Be a point of contact for members of the judiciary for all selfservice related issues.
  • Responsible for managing the E-HR mailbox by dealing with all queries within 5 working days.
  • Be a point of contact for E-HR admin users, ejudiciary and JO for all E-HR related issues.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:


  • Experience of working with data or databases, with a good eye for detail and an analytical approach in producing data and reports for key stakeholders.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Good working knowledge of using computer packages i.e. MS Office, Word and Teams.
  • Experience of working to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to senior management and members of the senior judiciary.
  • Comfortable in working in a fastpaced environment with flexibility to work across a range of competing priorities.
  • Good, clear drafting and communication skills to enable effective working with a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of the magistrates, courts and tribunals justice system and the judiciary would be an advantage.
