Job description - Site Maintenance

To complete general repairs, maintenance to food machinery, planned preventative maintenance records


Schedule:

  • Inspecting machinery, equipment, buildings and systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning
  • Performing routine cleaning and sanitising, including specialist cleaning of delicate or highvalue items such as entry systems, security equipment, lifts and escalators
  • Completing small repairs such as fixing locks, leaky taps and broken windows
  • Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors
  • Performing grounds maintenance such as mowing lawns, trimming bushes and replacing exterior light bulbs
  • Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by clients or colleagues
  • Maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively
  • Following a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed
  • Monitoring the settings of machines to ensure food safety
  • Site Health and Safety responsibilities
  • Fixing and using high tech machinery
  • Supporting audits on health and safety standards
  • Helping to train others on the operation of machines
  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Special projects

TYPICAL PERSONAL PROFILE:

  • You will need to completely hands on & selfmotivated

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively unsupervised

Good understanding of Health and Safety

Flexibility in working arrangements (willing to work outside normal working hours if/ when needed)

The confidence and experience to determine the appropriate methodology for carrying out tasks


Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
From £15.00 per hour


HOURS:
Flexible approx. 25 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Hours to be negotiated. Site operates currently 6am to 10pm.
