We have an exciting opportunity for Trainee Civils Operatives/Ground Workers to join our team at Lochwynd Ltd.
The Duties
To ensure the management of and satisfactory completion of Civils works to client specifications and conduct works in accordance with Lochwynd Limited policies and procedures to meet budgets and timescales imposed.
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
- Good Communication and ability to follow instructions given
- Assist Squad Leader with Site set up and general maintenance
- Assist Squad Leader with excavations and reinstatements (includes CAT scanning)
- Assist Squad Leader with cable pulling
- Safe and correct use of designated plant/equipment whilst under Supervision
- Safe and correct installation of ducting, kerbs, slabs, and street furniture (cabinet outer casing only) to specification whilst under Supervision
- Safe and correct laying of bituminous and granolithic material in addition to compaction.
Skills & Experience
The Job Holder will/may:
- Groundworks experience
- Desirable
- General Civil Engineering
- Desirable
Qualification Requirements:
The Job Holder may/will have:
- CSCS/ECS Touchscreen Test Certificate/Card.
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- NRSWA Streetworks Operative Card
Training Requirements:
Following the necessary Induction and on-the-job training, it is expected that the Job Holder would have all the skills to perform the job.
