Cookson First Aid is recruiting for First Aid Trainers across Greater Manchester.

Our trainers will be ambassadors for our free first aid programme and work with our Head of First Aid Training and Delivery to develop and grow Cookson First Aid to help achieve our goal of saving lives, by ensuring as many people as possible have access to free first aid training.

Job description

We are seeking someone with experience and a passion for teaching first aid and who can help to develop our programme to ensure it is accessible to the whole community.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be positive, innovative, self motivated and able to work independently on this ambitious programme.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Recent experience delivering First Aid Training
Effective communication skills
Reflectiveness and willingness to adapt to the needs of different communities
Ability to deliver and develop training to meet different accessibility needs.

Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Commitment to safeguarding, professional competence and delivering highest standards of training

Qualifications & Training

First Aid Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or above.
A minimum of two years of first aid training experience teaching, coaching, assessing and/or presenting to groups of adults
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (all travel expenses will be covered)
Willingness to complete further qualifications and training where applicable all insurance, resources for courses and relevant training costs will be covered

Role and responsibilities

Deliver first aid training courses in a variety of locations courses to a professional and consistent standard
Build and maintain good relationships with partners and participants
Work with the Head of First Aid Training and Delivery develop to continuously improve course content and delivery,
Accurate completion and prompt submission of all relevant course documentation
Act as an ambassador for Cookson First Aid and help to recruit and train additional trainers

This role will be office based with flexible hours, including some weekend and evening work, and regular travel across Greater Manchester, in line with the needs of the organisation.

Salary £20, ,000, depending on experience.
