Vacancy for Cover Supervisor

START DATE - ASAP

Permanent, Term Time Only, 32.5 hours per week

Grade 5, Spine Points 7-11

Actual s alary £16,961 - £18,651**We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising of six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and over 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team.

As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise whole classes during the absence of teachers.

Cover Supervisors will give instructions for the lesson as provided by a teacher and the primary focus of the role will be to maintain good conduct in the classroom and to keep students on task.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising pupils engaged in learning activities
  • Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct and behaviour
  • Keep pupils on task and respond to general queries
  • Providing feedback to teachers and record keeping, recording absence, etc.
