Description
This is a great time to join Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. We're looking for a nurse, social worker or occupational therapist who is passionate about using their clinical expertise to shape and deliver care that has the power to transform lives within Taunton Community Mental Health Service.
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is a trailblazer for the Community Mental Health Framework and as such we are dismantling the traditional barriers to accessing interventions, treatment and support.
The Community Mental Health services are on a journey to developing a trauma informed care approach to how care is delivered.
At its heart this is recognising the role of adverse experience in people's lives (both clients and colleagues), and providing care that is trauma aware, safe, responsive and collaborative.
We have recently been recognised for this dynamic way of working and have been awarded the 'Collaborating for Improvement National Improvement Award' from the NHS Big Conversation for Improvement as well as Mental Health Trust of the Year.
The post holder will deliver a high quality, comprehensive mental health service for patients with mental health difficulties within the Community Mental Health Service.
The role involves offering assessments and delivery of a wide range of interventions led by our patient's goals and wishes.
As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, career progression and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.
You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.
There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan - there is truly something for everyone
Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative, recovery approach and will be skilled at positive risk management.
The post holder will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team Manager, and participate in team and service development and evaluation.
