The opportunity:

Are you a strategic and diplomatic leader looking for an opportunity where you can shape and own a strategic plan for growth and governance? If so, this could be the perfect position for you.

We're supporting a professional membership body organisation with the hiring of a new CEO. They are a renowned member led association, representing their industry.

They set standards, provide professional development and career schemes, lobby for change and manage a series of events and awards.

This membership organisation has been in a period of transition, with a forward-thinking new governance structure being put in place.

The new CEO will report to the Chair of the Management Board and will be accountable for growth and effective governance of the organisation.

The CEO will have an exciting platform to help shape the role and future direction of the organisation, with the opportunity to make a lasting tangible impact.

What you'll be doing:

The CEO will represent the membership organisation, the members themselves, and the wider industry. You'll use your public speaking and media skills, delivering speaker engagements and engaging with members and the media.

Another key pillar of the role will be strategic thinking and future planning, where you'll be able to leverage your strategic thinking ability to think about the bigger picture, emerging trends, and the strategic plan for growth.

Additionally, the new CEO will ensure high standards of behaviour and ethics are followed, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

About you:

This position would suit someone who has proven leadership experience within an organisation.

You may have experience as a CEO, or you may be feeling ready to step up into a CEO level position.

You'll have to be a strategic and diplomatic CEO, and an authentic spokesperson.

Experience designing and implementing an effective growth strategy is desired, along with experience leading and coaching a team through a period of transition or change.

You'll be a compassionate individual, with strong interpersonal skills. You'll enjoy public speaking and will be happy to attend evening events and various face to face engagements.
