    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst in the energy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing solutions to complex problems faced by our clients, presenting these solutions in an accessible manner, and planning and delivering all aspects of project work from bid writing through to final delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Designing solutions to complex problems faced by our clients in the energy industry and presenting these solutions in an accessible manner
    • Planning and delivering all aspects of project work from bid writing through to final delivery
    • Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the UK electricity market and the implications of energy market developments for modelling and analysis
    • Helping develop and grow the business in new areas
    • Managing junior members of the team

    Requirements

    • A strong background and experience in the UK electricity market in an analytical role and possession of a 2:1 degree or better in a numerate subject such as mathematics, statistics, computing, engineering, economics or equivalent
    • Good grounding in the methods involved in long term power market forecasting as well as the ability to sense check model results
    • Comfortable leading a project team of varying seniority and line managing junior team members to contribute to their growth and development
    • Ability to demonstrate initiative in every aspect of your work and be creative in developing original solutions to problems
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written communications
    • Confidence and good presentation skills with the ability to explain complex issues to others
    • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and experience in using electricity market modelling software
    • Ability to manage your work effectively to ensure that you complete the work assigned to you efficiently and on time
