Working within this Global Insurer

Assistant Underwriter to provide pre-underwriting and technical analytic support to the Underwriters and Senior Underwriters.

Provide risks in readiness for underwriting, including correctly organising the submission flow, preparing rating sheets and pre-reading underwriting information. Extensive interaction with Brokers and support the reinsurance process

Contributing to the execution of the underwriting strategy
Conducting risk assessments for technical tasks, developing your analytical skills
Developing your underwriter judgements and conducting reviews of wordings and the use of various modelling systems
Acting as a peer reviewer to ensure that appropriate documentation is present, and that the internal underwriting system(s) are accurate
Supporting the underwriting of new and renewal business by providing your technical opinion for underwriters through your assessment of the information available
Liaising with stakeholders including but not limited to, Brokers, Reinsurance Brokers, Underwriters and Exposure Management and Pricing Teams
Checking and challenging team outputs to ensure it meets expectations
