    Description

    We are seeking a skilled Finance Professional to lead our client's financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting and forecasting. This role will involve working closely with the General Manager and operational staff to optimize product costings, identify inefficiencies and improve profitability.

    The successful candidate will be a key member of the management team, involved in strategic decision-making at a group level. They will drive improvements and cost savings, and work collaboratively to maintain accurate product costings.

    Key Requirements

    • A qualified accountant (CIMA) with experience in logistics is desirable.
    • A proven track record of driving improvements and cost savings in production.
    • Strong desire to improve processes and tenacity to drive them through.
    • Hands-on approach with willingness to engage on the shop floor.
    • Product costing experience.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and commercial skills.
    • Solid technical ability.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Experience with foreign currency transactions and SAP systems.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Manage all financial operations, including reporting, invoicing, cash management, stock control and ledgers.
    • Provide financial support to the General Manager.
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
    • Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, investigating and reporting variances.
    • Prepare year-end accounts and audit pack.
    • Develop annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
    • Optimize resource utilization within the Finance Department.
    • Collaborate with operational staff to ensure up-to-date Manufacturing Instructions and Bills Of Materials.
    • Monitor and report sales prices and margins.
    • Publish production reports to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory issues.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and provide required information.
    • Work closely with the Financial Controller of the subsidiary.
