Salary:
£24,962 Per Annum (Base salary £23,962 per annum + £1000 Unsociable Hours allowance)


Job Type:
Permanent/Full-Time


Hours: 40 hours (including 5 hours paid lunch breaks)


Location:
Northampton and Corby (Driving License and access to vehicle MANDATORY)

We are excited to introduce the Community Support Service - Tier 2 (CAS-2), a national initiative commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to provide accommodation as an alternative to custody.

As a Housing Support Worker based in the East of England, you will play a crucial role in this initiative.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver effective support and safety plans for service users, referring to specialist agencies as needed.
  • Ensure properties are wellequipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned at all times.
  • Empower and motivate service users to identify and achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Develop moveon plans with service users, identifying realistic options for their future homes.

Experience We're Looking For:

-
Housing Management Experience: Knowledge of housing management practices to ensure properties are adequately equipped and maintained.

Safeguarding Skills: Understanding of safeguarding principles and ability to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.

Working with Vulnerable People: Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs, including those experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, and seeking employment and housing support.

  • Knowledge of issues affecting individuals in contact with the Criminal Justice System and/or experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to develop personcentered support and moveon planning.
  • Flexibility to travel within your allocated patch for training and meetings, and cover other local patches as required.

This role requires regular travel, a Full Driving License, and access to your own vehicle. Mileage expenses can be claimed at 45p per mile traveled.

An Enhanced DBS check and Prison Clearance are required for this role.

£24,962.00 per year
