Accountable to:
Head Teacher and Progression 2Work Board of Directors
Job Purpose:
To manage on a day-to-day basis Progression 2 Work's Curriculum in the hub including leading staff embedding the company's ethos, and positive behaviour management strategy.
- Support the Head Teacher and Directors in managing and coordinating the daytoday function and development of the companies Provision.
- The production and coordination of programmes of support for students referred to the provision and liaising with the Directors.
- To support the Headteacher and Directors in ensuring that robust improvement strategies are embedded across the company.
- To support the Headteacher and Directors in ensuring that all aspects of the provision and education with students comply with all current OFSTED requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To manage the education of all students including interventions and ensuring consistent, effective, and inclusive teaching & learning for all learners.
- To undertake regular lesson observations to ensure consistently highquality inclusive teaching and learning.
- Overview and management of SOW/Lesson Plans/Weekly Planners to ensure all students are included in the teaching and learning process.
- Regularly monitor progress against targets for all relevant pupils from teachers' plans, evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning by work analysis and use these analyses to guide future improvements.
- Analyse and interpret relevant school, local and national data/information relating to groups of pupils and advise the Assistant Head teachers on the level of resources required to maximise achievement.
- Liaise with staff, parents, external agencies and other schools to coordinate their contribution, provide maximum support and ensure continuity of educational provision for all pupils.
- Develop partnerships with parents to ensure that their views are considered and acted upon appropriately.
- Ensure that all pupils can share their views and that these are acted upon appropriately.
- Support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for pupils.
- Collect and interpret specialist assessment data to inform practice.
- Work with pupils, class teacher and key stage managers to ensure realistic and challenging expectations of pupils.
- Monitor the use of resources, teaching activities and target setting and develop and maintain a recording system for progress of groups of pupils.
- Achieve constructive working relationships and establish opportunities for parents, students and staff to review the needs, progress and targets of groups of pupils.
- Provide regular information to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and governors on the effectiveness of provision for all groups of learners and outcomes.
- Ensure health, safety and welfare of all Students, Staff and Visitors at all times.
- To Lead CPD in the area of Inclusion including appropriate INSET days
- To attend and contribute to SLT and Staff meetings.
- To undertake a teaching commitment as required
- Assist with transportation of students as required.
- To assist with management of Progression 4Work as directed by the Executive Head or Directors
- To undertake any reasonable task, as directed by the Executive Headteacher or Directors.
Salary:
£30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
