Project Manager - Stockport (Remote Working) - Up to £50,000 - Agency


After founding a new PMO department in early 2021, the team has gone from strength to strength and now has significant demand from the wider business.

As a result of this success, they are now looking to recruit a talented Project Manager to join our strategicprojects team.

Working at the heart of the function that will drive our ambitious 5 year global expansion, the PM will support the delivery of change through organisation of resources to achieve business goals.


The PMO is small and new but growing fast, so they are looking for a positive and proactive person who enjoys delivering tangible improvements to how the business works and working closely as part of an exciting and supportive team.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Work across the business to define and drive the delivery of high importance and time sensitive projects aligned to group initiatives and strategies.
  • Responsible for the core project management disciplines, including but not limited to scope management, financial management, risk management, time management, change management and stakeholder management.
  • Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan
  • Maintenance of forecasts for delivery which reflects the uptodate expectations for the work.
  • Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed objectives
  • Facilitate successful handover and adoption of project related deliverables to the operational business.
  • Accurately assess, communicate, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Managing the change control process
  • Manage a diverse group of resources as appropriate to implement project related activities.
  • Responsible for influencing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the stakeholders, through regular meetings and written communications
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project
  • Supporting and leading project team in their project objectives
  • Continuous improvement of the project management process

Requirements:


  • Organisation skills:Must be able to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines
  • Leadership: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to influence the business to show how project management processes create positive outcomes for the project and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Team: Participate in regular huddles to ensure the whole team are kept updated on your work, and able to communicate priorities, issues and where required escalate for support

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Manager or equivalent role
  • Working experience of project management techniques from initiation to project closure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, interviewing and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to integrate with team and build relationships with stakeholders
