Job Purpose:


Work as a junior portfolio manager within the Citi Treasury Investments credit portfolio management team, which is responsible for the oversight of a $35bn+ portfolio.

Assist in analysing and managing a portfolio of securities in line with Citi Treasury Investment'sstrategy and in compliance with all Citi controls and procedures.


Job Background/context:


  • Citi Treasury Investments is a unit within Citi Treasury that leads the investment of Citi's major liquidity portfolios with oversight from Citi's ALCOs
  • The Credit Portfolio management team, which comprises seven individuals based in London, manages CTI's nonsovereign credit fixed income portfolio, predominately focused on Structured Finance securities and Multinational Development Banks.
  • The credit portfolio is global, with a focus on developed economies
  • The role is full time and based in Canary Wharf, London (hybrid role split between Office and WFH).

Knowledge/Experience:


  • Experience in a quantitative role in financial services with knowledge of investment / credit analysis
  • Exposure to Treasury instruments and functions would be helpful
  • Experience in fixed income markets and / or structured finance and derivative products
  • Transacting / deal underwriting experience would be helpful, particularly experience in Structured Finance asset classes
  • Demonstrable team working experience and communication skills

Skills:


  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • VBA skills would be an advantage
  • Solid financial modelling skills would be extremely beneficial
  • Good organisational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks within tight deadlines
  • Structured Finance / fixed income transacting

Qualifications:


  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • CFA qualification, or willingness to undertake it, is an advantage
