Description

Responsibilities

  • Driving a standardised, wellcontrolled close process, seamlessly coordinating with Operations teams and the wider Finance team
  • Providing representation of FinOps at regular monthend governance forums
  • Managing the work of nearshore (CoE) and offshore resources, performing reviews of technical administration and accounting processes
  • Providing oversight, monitoring, and exception reporting of technical transactional activities, e.g., tracking completion of manual payment requests
  • Supporting query resolution and analysis to resolve process, data, and/or systemdriven blockers to a fast close
  • Supervising the cash allocation and credit control processes performed by nearshore (CoE) or offshore resources

Experience Required

  • A minimum of five years' experience in finance operations ideally within the Insurance sector or the wider Financial Services industry

Your skills

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Able to understand, analyse, and manipulate large amounts of financial data
  • Strong reconciliation skills able to deep dive in to and analyse data?
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced experience with Excel able to work with complex formulae/tables
  • Inquisitive mindset able to drill into detail and understand the bigger picture when bringing solutions to potential issues
  • People management experience able to lead a team of resources based in multiple locations
  • Team player who is happy to work on a variety of activities

Desired

  • Knowledge of insurance policy administration systems, e.g., Eclipse
  • Understanding of data visualisation and reporting tools, e.g., Power BI
  • Experience using JIRA
