This is a key role supporting the Group Head of Corporate Governance with the implementation and embedding of the Athora Corporate Governance Framework, ensuring effective delivery of corporate governance across jurisdictions in line with legal and regulatory obligations.

This new role will be responsible for supporting the development of a coherent, compliant and effective policy framework to document processes systems and controls within Athora in line with legal and regulatory obligations.

This role will entail regular engagement with stakeholders across Athora Group including influencing focus in certain areas

Key Contribution Areas

  • Oversee and contribute to the embedding of the Athora Corporate Governance Framework across the Athora Group.
  • Lead and coordinate delivery of a coherent, compliant and effective policy framework that reflects the processes, controls and systems adopted by Athora to deliver its business in accordance with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead the delivery of standardised, effective and engaging documentation to reflect, implement and embed the policy framework, including developing templates and drafting policies, standards and guidance as necessary.
  • Develop and implement processes and controls to manage the periodic review of the policy framework to ensure the framework remains consistent with developments in relevant legislation and regulation.
  • Support and coordinate the effective running of meetings with key internal senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations with the policy framework and corporate governance.
  • Coordinate and maintain the corporate calendar for Athora including annual processes and functioning of the Corporate Governance Framework with support from company secretarial functions across Athora.
  • Maintain and develop the Group Corporate Governance intranet site.
