We have an exciting opportunity for a
Buyer to join our centralised Procurement Team and provide a quality procurement service to our stakeholders both internally and external.

Flexible with hybrid travel to Rushden, Northamptonshire

Key Responsibilities
In this Buyer role, you'll raise ticket requests in line with the needs of the business and raise purchase orders for projects as requested.
You'll also provide feedback to the Category Management team on supplier performance and new business requirements and support implementation of new contracts and frameworks.
Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating to deliver best value is key for this role and you'll maximise opportunities to utilise preferred suppliers.
What are we looking for?
A good communicator and organised individual who can work effectively as part of a team and working from their own initiative.
Ideally, you'll be working towards your CIPS qualification or equivalent with a good understanding of common Procurement models and materials/services required within a construction business.
You'll have good commercial awareness and an effective understanding of budget and allowance control within projects.You'll also be able to build positive relationships with stakeholders training them on best practice and able to make recommendations based on market conditions.
