1-1 Teaching Assistant

Salary £15,327 per annum (actual salary)

37.5 hours per week, 34 weeks per year, fixed term (until 12th July 2024)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join the nurturing and energetic team at Woodbridge School Prep.

This is a fixed term contract, for 1 year, based in the Prep until the end of the Summer Term 2024.

You will work supporting a specific pupil within the classroom environment, as directed, providing a secure and supportive relationship for the child in order to promote independence, learning and understanding.

You should have a natural empathy with young children, as well as being a highly motivated and inspiring individual with a passion for working with children to encourage learning in a safe, stimulating and effective way.

You will work with the class teacher focusing on the needs of the pupil, encouraging increasing levels of self-regulation and independence and ensuring the pupil's needs are met.

Providing them with the assistance to concentrate and complete tasks assigned to them and developing their confidence to access the curriculum without support.

You will also be committed to safeguarding and protecting their wellbeing.

Ideally you will hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification and will have experience of working with young children in a similar setting.
