Description

We are looking for contact supervisors to support contact between children/adults and their parents and/or relatives.

This role is to support child contact sessions at our Contact Centres and in the local community. You would be supporting the child/ren to have contact with their parent they do not live with.

If you do not have a DBS covering the child workforce you would need to be willing to obtain and pay for one if successful.

The Role
To support the delivery of the supported contact ensuring;

Children are kept safe and their emotional wellbeing is safeguarded during contact with family members who have been assessed as posing a level of risk to them;
Positive relationships are satisfied between a child and their nonresident family members wherever possible;
Parents are supported practically and emotionally to make supported contact sessions a positive experience wherever possible;
To ensure you have an understanding of, and comply with, Flourish Family Centre procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults, undertaking risk assessments before each session.
To be willing to undertake and keep up to date with training.
Be qualified with a level 2 or 3 in childcare or health and social care.
Have access to a car.
Have experience of working in a childcare setting
Have experience of working with children with special needs
