If you are passionate about the landscape, cattle, biodiversity and habitat generation this is an amazing opportunity for you. Beech Farm Estate is a regenerative and organic farm along the banks of the River Dee in Cheshire. We aim to increase biodiversity and improve soil health.

We currently have an expanding herd of rare breed British White cattle with the aim to introduce further native breeds in the future.

Although a physically demanding role working outside in all weather conditions you will see the rewards of your work and be involved in future development planning, experimental initiatives, and data collection to determine efficacy of our actions.

THE ROLE:

Habitat and landscape development and maintenance
Tree planting and maintenance
Assisting with livestock management and welfare
Fencing erection and maintenance
Track maintenance
Weed control by hand or mechanical
Chainsaw work, strimming and hedge cutting
Tractor and digger driving
Grass cutting including parkland and formal gardens
Keeping farmyards and sheds tidy, clean and organised
Maintenance of farm equipment and machinery
Meeting and supporting visiting groups
Contributing to the biodiversity data collection process, formally and informally

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SHOW US:

Practical with experience of handling a range of hand and gardening tools.
Enthusiastic, positive and hardworking attitude.
Team player and able to work alone
Able to follow instructions and complete tasks to a high standard
Adaptable and willing to tackle any task
Interest and enthusiasm to work to organic and regenerative standards
Tractor and implement driving experience
Tree, bird and wildflower knowledge would be an advantage

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Fridays. Must be willing to work weekends when necessary.

Dependent on experience and qualifications
