Acquisitions Accountant opportunity within a highly-acquisitive corporate group offering broad exposure to financial & management accounting, acquisition accounting and unrivalled career development.

THE COMPANY

This successful entrepreneurial business has expanded significantly through acquisition, increasing turnover and profits considerably and creating a group organisation with operations across the UK and in several overseas territories.

The group is now targetingfurther growth (organic and acquisitions) and the Group FD is developing a 'best in class' Finance Department capable of supporting planned expansion throughout the next - 3 years.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A new opportunity has arisen which will involve responsibility for newly acquired businesses and supporting the Group FD and Financial Controller with a range of interesting projects.

As Acquisitions Accountant your responsibilities will include:

Leading the smooth integration of accounting information from acquired businesses to the groups financial systems and implementing necessary controls and processes
Acquisition accounting and computation of opening balance sheets and adjustments to align to Group accounting policies
Implementing process and system improvements across various Group companies, increasing robustness of controls
Creating new financial analysis and reporting as required
Adhoc projects as required by Group Finance Director and Finance Controller

This opportunity will offer variety, challenge and long-term career progression within a fast-paced business.

As the business expands the role will develop and ultimately progress towards a Finance Manager / Financial Controller role with responsibilityfor established businesses.

THE PERSON
You will be an experienced Finance professional able to demonstrate:

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) or at least Finalist level
A background within either Industry or Chartered Practice (or both), with at least 3 years accounting experience
Ambition and career drive
Good IT skills, particularly Excel
