Support Consultant - Pensions Software - Bristol/Hybrid

Location:
Emerson's Green, Bristol/Hybrid


Salary:
£30,000 - £37,500 + bonus + benefits

We are developers of industry leading pension software.

With offices in the UK and US, and partners in India and UAE we are one of the global leaders in the pensions administration sector.

Since our foundation in 2002, we have grown steadily.

As well as blue-chip companies such as Rolls Royce, BP, BT and DHL, we also supply software to third party administrators, systems integrators, technology companies, product providers, US state and Government state pensions schemes.


We don't just develop market leading pension software, we develop our people and we're looking for a Support Consultant to be responsible for the smooth handling and resolution of the queries and issues raised by our clients who use our pension administration system.

Clients raise queries and issues in our Zendesk online support system and through a dedicated support telephone number.

As a Support Consultant you will investigate and resolve issues using a combination of your own technical knowledge and through liaising with software developers in our System Apps Development Team and Client Services Team.

It's an exciting, rewarding and very varied role, as from one day to the next you never know what issues are going to be raised.

Any programming skills, even if only gained from programming Excel macros or similar, would be an advantage. You must have excellent interpersonal and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills is essential.


You will manage a diverse workload including multiple parallel tasks and you will prioritise your time and tasks effectively alongside the demands set on the team.


Key Skills:


Experience in supporting software systems

Sound technical knowledge.

An understanding of business processes and workflows

Ability to learn new technologies quickly

The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and deliver rapid outcomes

Confidence to adapt and learn new programmes and systems

Excellent customer service

High degree of numeracy

Accountability and ownership of an issue from start to end

Ability to break down an issue or liaising with other business owners as part of its resolution

Configuring or developing pensions or financial services software

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Microsoft - full Suite

Managing databases using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

Experience of SQL language

Alternative programming knowledge, even if only from developing Excel macros or similar
