This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Are you looking for a new role that is different: for a challenge and opportunity to grow? Are you interested in influencing the way systems work with children and young people and are passionate about developing systemic practice within a new team? Then this job is for you.

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Highly Specialist Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to provide highly specialist assessment and intervention to the most vulnerable young people of the West Midlands region supported under IROC.

We are a psychology led, multi-disciplinary team that supports young people aged as part of the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative (WMCPC).

The team includes psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, administrators and is expanding to incorporate a family and systemic psychotherapist.

We work with young people at the edge of Tier 4, or those stepping down from hospital to support stability within the community.

We work systemically with residential homes, social care, families, CAMHS and schools.

The team has a range of expertise in trauma, therapeutic parenting, systemic and group work, DBT and more.

Instead of focusing on offering individual therapy to the young person, this role focuses on systemic interventions to empower professionals and families around the young person
