Qualified applicants (with an accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification) dependent on experience: £28,187 - £30,750 per annum, pro rata

Unqualified applicants, dependent on experience:
£26,650-£28,187.50 per annum, pro rata


Hours: 37.5


Contract:
Fixed term until 31st March extension possible, this is dependent on an internal secondment

About the Service
Lambeth Refuge Service provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence.

We are there for women at a time of crisis and help families take their first steps to freedom and recovery.


About the Role
Family Support Workers provide an effective, efficient and supportive service to Children and Young people residing in Solace refuges.

You will lead on the development of a child and family centred approach to support, including 1 to 1 support, groups, workshops and activities.

All support will be trauma informed with Service Users at the centre of the support provided.


About You


Are you passionate about supporting families affected by domestic abuse? Lambeth Refuge Service require a dynamic and creative individual with experience in providing emotional and practical support to vulnerable families.


You should possess awareness of the effects of domestic abuse on women and children, and have an in depth knowledge of safeguarding and managing risk.


In addition to this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload across several sites.
