One of the UK's largest Construction contractors UK-wide building team has built a reputation for high quality offices in Commercial and Mixed-used developments, Healthcare, Custodial, Defence, and Education.


Their award-winning projects include 52 Lime Street, 30 St Mary Axe, Bristol Schools, St Bartholomew and the Royal London Hospitals to name a few.


To build their succes they are looking for an Environmental Manager to support the Head of Environment to manage their Buildings function activities.

This role will support London and Regions.

As an Environmental Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Support Head of Environment in leading the team in all professional aspects, including culture and practices, YVOS plans and engagement, objective setting, skills development and learning and development etc;
  • Be directly responsible for a small team of environmental professionals within Building in line with the above;
  • Be responsible for contributing to resource management, forecasting and succession planning, and providing required support projects and initiatives;
  • Be responsible for ensuring environmental management compliance and best practice on projects and sites, and continual improvement of the above;
  • Provide advice, support and assistance to all project and work winning teams to enable them to manage their environmental responsibilities;
  • Support the delivery of BREEAM/LEED/WELL certifications as required on projects and tenders;
To be successful you must have/be all of the following:

  • Good level of environmental management and general sustainability experience and skills in construction / built environment / physical materials industries
  • Experience / competence managing operations within an accredited environmental management system, including people / processes / systems
  • Experience / competence generating and delivering improvement initiatives within an operational function or project
  • People and team leadership / development experience and capability
  • Demonstrable passion and commitment for sustainability, carbon reduction and environmental outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience of BREEAM, WELL and LEED certifications schemes


The successful applicant will be rewarded with a basic salary ranging from £58k-£65k plus substantial benefits packages to include Pension, Medical, DIS, 25 DH, Flexible working, ongoiung training and development, outstanding career prospects.
