About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship within the Parking Services team at Cambridgeshire County Council.


The post is for 37 hours per week, and the post holder will be expected to work from a fixed location, at our central Cambridge office.

Interviews are due to take place week commencing 27 March 2023.

The salary for this position will be £21,189 per annum.

What will you be doing?
The Parking Services team are responsible for the management of Civil Parking Enforcement within Cambridge.

The Business Administrator (apprentice) will predominantly support the Notice Processing & Permits Team who deal with queries and appeals in relation to Penalty Charge Notices.

The team are also responsible for processing permits for Resident Parking Schemes and dealing with all relevant permit related queries.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • To gain a good understanding of the core function within the Notice Processing & Permits team
  • Providing accurate and timely responses to customers in writing
  • Prioritising your workload on a daily basis to meet the statutory timescales
  • Working closely with internal departments and external partners
  • Providing general administrative, secretarial and financial support to the office
A training and induction programme will be offered, with ongoing support.
