Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic fast-growing Business to process and administer worldwide freight movements and supply chain solutions.
Main Duties:
General
- Handle enquiries with customers and suppliers
- To provide quotations for customers as required whilst maximising shipment profitability
- Making bookings on Azyra Freight System (prior knowledge not essential)
- Dealing with other transport and haulage companies
- Completing various types of paperwork associated with international freight forwarding in a timely and efficient manner.
- Managing the movement of freight in and out of the country, including arranging appropriate documentation
- Communicating with the authorities eg HMRC
- Developing and implementing effective and constructive solutions to challenges and possible obstacles in import/ export activity.
- Monitoring, recording, analysing and reporting on activities, trends, results and recommendations relating to import / export activities.
- Liaising with internal warehousing to coordinate freight activities.
- Have the ability to develop our current and new business
- Have the ability to deal with multiple shipments in a fast moving industry
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION
Job Title:
Freight Forwarder
Quality Essential Desirable
Educational Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, including English
3rd Level education
Qualifications:

Transport related qualification
Professional/Industry
Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience in the Freight
A proven record of developing business
Forwarding or Transport Industry
relationships
- Very Good understanding of how the freight forwarding
Knowledge:
industry works
- Good Knowledge of Import/Export documentation
- Customs procedures
Skills and abilities:
IT literate with a very good knowledge of Word and Excel
and Outlook.
- Have the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Have customer service skills and the ability to work under the pressure of tight timescales and deadlines.
- Attention to detail paramount

£32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
