Overview:


Responsibilities:


Control of Goods In:


Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods against purchase orders, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards, and accurately documenting all relevant information for inventory management.


Control of Goods Out:

Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured goods against engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.


Stock Control:

Maintaining meticulous control of stock by implementing and overseeing the segregation of uninspected and inspected inventory.


NDT Test Packs:


Facilitate the organization of Non-Destructive Tests (NDT) for manufactured goods as needed, ensuring thoroughness, accuracy, and proper documentation of test reports.


Welding Consumables Control:


Ensure the quality and compliance of incoming weld wire by verifying specifications, logging material certifications, and properly labeling wire for manufacturing processes.


Workshop Continuous Improvement


Collaborate with the QA Manager to implement and enhance continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop, aiming to streamline operations and standardize processes for optimal efficiency.


Additional Responsibilities (As required):


  • Assist with manufacturing reports.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a Quality Control environment position is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and check stock against them.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Pay:
£16.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
