The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Buyer. The Buyer will be responsible for supporting the Senior Buyer, sourcing quality products and services for group Procurement.


Our client, a specialist engineering design and development company that has grown into a business that can deliver a complete turnkey solution on behalf of its global customers.

To deliver this overall capability, they have developed its skills in project and supply chain management and put in place all the necessary quality systems and processes to allow them to deliver projects to the standards expected by our customers.


Overview of the Role:

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of Supplier Relationships
  • Managing the procurement and expediting
  • Managing the RFQ process from start to finish
  • Raise purchase orders as required across the group
  • Support in the implementation of any ECRs
  • Negotiation and implementation of Service Level Agreements with key suppliers
  • Work on initiatives to improve supplier relationships and identify best value for money practices, VAVE projects
  • Procure production and prototype parts within all functions of the business including Electronics, Trim Shop, Production, and ad hoc scheduled parts.
  • Develop current and future strategies with key Stakeholders to optimise costs
  • Any other Ad hoc purchasing/supply chain requests

Essential Skills

  • 23 years Procurement background in a Manufacturing and/or Automotive background
  • Commercial awareness of the Global market and ability to follow market trends
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all Key Stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Decisive and proactive individual, with a positive cando attitude


  • IT literate

  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Ideally Office 365)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • MRP/ERP system experience

DESIRABLE:

  • CIPS qualified, or working towards
  • Knowledge of Contract management


  • Knowledge of ISO900

  • Experience of working with SAGE
