A leading manufacturer of complex special purpose machinery serving high technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Controls Engineer to join the team.

An experienced engineer you will contribute to the design, development and commissioning of industrialcontrol solutions.

Commutable from:
Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Sutton Coldfield, Telford.

Salary:
£35, 000 - £40 ,000 p.a. +company vehicle +bonus + life assurance

The Role

Working for a leading authority in their field, the role of Control Systems Engineer will play a key role within the engineering team and be responsible for the design, development, implementation and commissioning of control systems software.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, implementation, testing and commissioning of control systems software (PLC/HMI/SCADA)

Development and implementation of the documentation associated with control systems

Assist customers and Service Engineers with electrical / control problems at office, remotely or onsite

Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products and instruments

On site work commissioning complex machines and training customers

Working with team of engineers to find innovative solutions

Liaise with other departments to allow effective and smooth running of the business

The Person
Proficient with Siemens, SCADA and associated software

Working knowledge with PLC hardware and associated software

Previous experience at industrial projects, teams and roles

Produce detailed technical documentation to a high standard (Design, documentation, programming, testing and commissioning, electrical design and drawings)

Ability to work well within a team both on site and from home

Preferably qualified to HND or degree level.
