Oakleaf are currently looking for Bank Support Workers to join us at our residential care service in Birmingham.

Hamilton Court specialise in providing high quality residential care to meet the assessed needs of adults with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and associated challenging behaviours.

Ideally you will have experience of working with either challenging behaviour, learning disabilities or mental health.

This will be working on a bank contract and can offer flexible hours. The regular place of work will be at our base in B18. Days and Nights available.

**Main function of the job:
- **To provide care in accordance with best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and government regulations under the direction of the line manager.

**Main duties of the role:
- *
  • Ensure that service user rights are protected.
  • Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times.
  • Assist service users individually as required to support them with daily routines and activities.
  • Observing service users to ensure a safe environment, protecting them from harm.
  • Encourage a model of selfcare and service user rehabilitation.
  • Systematically solve daytoday problematical issues which arise.
  • Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary health teams so as to maximise opportunities for service user therapeutic care.
  • Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
  • Evaluate care plans and standards of care competence.
  • Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees.
  • Assist in the administration of medication (where necessary)
  • Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
  • In addition to these tasks, employees may at times be asked to carry out other reasonable duties as required by the service or manager.

  • Flexible working methods
  • Knowledge and experience of working with challenging behaviour would be an advantage.

Pay:
£11.44 per hour

  • 12 hour shift
