AEV specialises in the manufacture of liquid chemical coatings for the electrical insulation industry. Our Production Department manufactures our complete range of products from start to finish, from mixing raw materials to dispensing liquid products into final packaging.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a
Production Supervisor to join our team in Birkenhead and make a real difference.
The Rewards:
- Salary of £32,000 to £36,000 per annum dependent on experience (40 hours per week, Mon-Fri)
- 20 days holiday (rising to 25 days with service).

The Role:
The Production Supervisor supports the Operations Manager by supervising the teams of people and co-ordinating the day-to-day activities within the Production Department.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Supervising the production teams and processes in the factory.
- Briefing and debriefing the teams at the start and end of each shift.
- Communicating the latest information to the production team, and relaying order progress to the customer service team.
- Performing the final inspection of packed orders.
- Production related administrative tasks.
- Supporting a culture of safety, quality and teamwork.
About You:
This position requires a combination of technical and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage employees and meet production goals.
- A strong work ethic takes pride in their work, shows initiative and is selfmotivated.
- A good technical ability has a methodical approach, attention to detail, and demonstrates concern for standards.
- A team player a cando attitude, a good communicator and works well with others.
- Minimum requirements:_
- GSCE or equivalent, including English and Maths.
- Leadership skills, i.e. motivating people, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational skills including working methodically and accurately, organising documents, arranging meetings, good timekeeping, etc.
- Nonessential, but desirable:_
- Relevant experience in a similar role / industry
- Relevant certifications including those related to COSHH, first aid, fire safety, quality, etc.
- A-Levels and above.
- Experience of working in a Lean / 5S / Six Sigma environment.
- Full, clean driving licence.
