ABOUT THIS ROLE


The Global Product Executive is a key member of the ghd New Product Development team and is responsible for supporting company growth through assisting the development of the latest innovations and strategic launches.


The Global Product Executive will do this through a combination of administration, research, concept creation, product testing and project management as required for the development of new products and innovations.

The Global Product Executive will report directly into the Global Senior Product Manager.


JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development:


  • Assisting the Global Senior Product Manager in delivering the 5year plan for category innovations.
  • Supporting the creation of new product concepts through market, industry, and consumer insights as well as creative moodboarding and product name ideation.
  • Leading packaging artwork development with full ownership creating copy, coordinating the copy approval process crossfunctionally, managing amends and local market variants to ensure final copy is signed off and implemented on time.
  • Maintaining all copy files and ensure excellent version control; maintain a copy library for each category to ensure all copy information is easy to access in one place
  • Being a key contact with the regions and global markets on product and new project queries, as well as gathering global competitor information.
  • Collaborating with the brand team to coordinate global NPD sample sendouts and communicate with the regions.
  • Supporting the creation of key Presentations to Management team and markets.
  • Supporting the Global Senior Product Manager with the daytoday product management of projects, collaborating with the crossfunctional teams to ensure marketing deliverables are completed for project milestones.
  • Support the Global Senior Product Manager by maintaining the claims plans for NPDs.

Market Intelligence:


  • Develop and review trend reports for the beauty and tech industry, summarizing and relaying relevant findings to the Marketing team.
  • Analyze competition on a worldwide basis:
  • Conducting and upkeeping competitor reports
  • Maintaining competitor library
  • Upkeeping pricing trackers
  • Monitoring Social media trends.

Budget processing

  • Raise and receipt all Purchase Orders for the Marketing Innovation team using the finance system.
  • Upkeep the budget tracker providing regular updates to the team key to the management of the total Global Marketing spend.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:


  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year+ experience (as intern or grad) within a marketing role, ideally in beauty, tech, or fashion.
  • Qualifications: Educated to degree level, having studied a Marketing, Business Studies, Business Management or Businessrelated degree.
  • Skills:
  • Basic project management skills with excellent organisation, a focus on meeting deadlines and the ability to juggle several projects at once
  • Strong communicator, with great interpersonal skills and ability to network and quickly build rapport #hp
