Summary


Were looking for a talented and enthusiastic Communications Officer to join our international Communications team in London, to work on Climate Week NYC.

Now in its fifteenth year, Climate Week NYC is the largest yearly climate event of its kind, where business leaders and political change makers from all over the world discuss how to drive climate action.


The role is exciting and varied, working on communications for global brands, cross-channel creative campaigns, billboards around New York City, and brand touchpoints including website and app.

Last year we had a 6.5 billion media reach, generated 221 million impressions for #ClimateWeekNYC and our physical out of home presence in New York was seen by over 51 million people.

About the role


The role is integral to our Communications and Marketing team for Climate Week NYC, reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager.

The variety of the role provides an opportunity to work on campaigns seen by millions of people and across a collection of digital platforms, in collaboration with external partners.

This role is about driving the buzz around Climate Week NYC, boosting brand awareness, building our Climate Group profile, and creating digital impact for a large global audience.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Amplifying Climate Week NYC and our Climate Group brand profile through digital campaigns, billboard activations and livestreaming.
  • Sponsorship communications for global brands including announcements, social media content and video.
  • Working on endtoend campaign creation from creative idea generation and content plan development, through to distribution crosschannel.
  • Working on brand touchpoints including our website, design assets and app.
  • Coordination and input into our reports on our impact and results.
  • Assisting with uploading and distributing outputs onto our multimedia hub.

About you

Essential:


  • Communications or marketing experience
  • Endtoend creative campaign experience, including copywriting and content plans
  • Crosschannel social media knowledge and experience
  • Experience using social and digital tools such as Hootsuite
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite
  • Awareness of the external market and latest digital trends
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong selforganisation skills, ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
  • Highly empathetic and a positive attitude
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable:


  • Previous experience working at an NGO
  • Experience working in an international organisation
  • Experience working on hybrid/virtual events
  • Knowledge on climate

Location


Youll be based in our London head office near Tower Bridge (SE1 2NQ), a 12-minute walk from London Bridge station and enjoy the benefits of flexible and hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

The role will involve working US hours during Climate Week NYC, 17 to 24 September.

This is a full-time position for six months ending in October. The salary offered is £29,670 to £32,950 per annum, based on experience.
