We are currently looking to recruitment a Departmental Secretary within our Anaesthetic Team at the Freeman Hospital and would like to welcome you to be part of our innovative team


If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, then we want you his role is crucial to providing and maintaining an efficient and effective service for patients and their families.

We are looking for someone who likes to collaborate with others as well as across our amazing organisation. We are also looking for someone that has a great eye for detail.

You will contribute to the efficient running of the Cardio Anaesthetic Department, providing secretarial support for the Consultants and their Teams, including Junior Doctors for both adult and paediatric anaesthetic service

This is a suitable post for an individual wishing to further develop their
organisational/interpersonal skills.

The post holder must also possess exceptional organisational and communication skills and must be able to demonstrate ability to prioritise work.


If successful, you will be responsible for liaising with clinical and non-clinical professional staff for the delivery of a high standard of care.

Your role will directly impact patient experience and be part of providing seamless delivery of care.
Interview Date: 24 July 202- 37 hours 30 minutes /Week

  • Provide comprehensive Admin and secretarial support to the Cardiothoracic Anaesthetic Consultants and their team.
  • Communicates with healthcare professionals within the Directorate and other departments.
  • You will provide cover for other secretaries within the Management Team
