Fixed term contract until 31st October 2024

The main purpose of the role is to act as a marker to assist North Air drivers to reverse safely, in the effort to reduce accidents when reversing.

North Air banksman are there to warn the driver of an impending collision.

The salary for this role is £22,742.85 per annum and there is a shift allowance of £2,950.68 paid in 12 monthly instalments.

North Air banksman are required to operate in the following areas:

Operations (Ramp and Depot):

To understand the key issues arising out of reversing and manoeuvring
To drive company vehicles airside and within the depot safely
Loading tankers and completing relevant paperwork
Pass paperwork / documents to North Air Staff, handling agents or Airline staff
Conduct manual handling tasks to move fuelling steps to position prior to fuelling or to recover under tow to the airport depot for maintenance
Conduct continuity testing of bonding cables
Assist in loading tankers in order to contribute to operational performance
Conduct site HSSE tasks in order to support the operation

To work safely at All times
To identify areas of danger out on the apron
To identify areas of danger for reversing vehicles
To be competent and confident in the use of HSE code of signals and reversing procedure
To report safety Incidents
