With a dedicated in-house Training Academy, Cardiff Bus are ready to welcome you to our team whether you join us as a Trainee Bus Driver or a Licenced Bus Driver, we are poised and ready to teach you everything you need to know.


This is a full-time permanent position working 39 hours a week

Salary
Training hourly rate of
£12.02
Qualified hourly rate of
£13.29 (Monday to Friday)

Enhanced rates on the weekend of up to
£17.32

The role
We are looking for people with the passion and experience of delivering excellent customer service; As a bus driver you will also be required to

  • Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus.
  • Collect fares and issue tickets or receipts as necessary.
  • Communicate with passengers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules.

What you need

  • Valid driver's license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • Have no more than 6 Points
  • Regular confident driver
  • Previous experience as a bus driver, delivery driver, or van driver is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong attention to detail
