Senior Estimator

This is an opportunity to join a Tier 1 National Contractor and lead a small team engaging with clients across the public and private sectors.

Role-Specific Requirements
The Senior Estimator means you will report to the Chief Estimator, work autonomously but also contribute to team leadership

Your team will:
1) Preparation of pricing for items and quantities
2) Ability to prepare prices from first principles
3) Working with procurement team to prepare supply chain enquiries
4) Ability to adjudicate supply chain quotes
5) Generating estimating reports for management.
6) Take account of design development and other changes to meet requirements
7) Ensuring pricing is in format and coding
8) Working with minimum supervision

Team Working / Interfaces
1) Working as part of a team (estimator, planner, construction advisor, designer, procurement manager, risk manager, etc)
2) Interfacing directly and collaboratively with others from
3) Liaising with other estimators to ensure no gaps / overlaps in overall pricing
4) Reporting to Lead Estimator

Skills & Experience

1) Proven experience in estimating civil engineering works

2) Relevant degree or HNC or equivalent
3) Ability to use Candy estimating software
4) Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing
5) Good written and verbal communication skills
General Requirements
1)

Work location:
central London (typically 3 days a week)
2) All team members are required to use electronic document control systems (e.g. for preparing, loading, accessing and distributing documents).
