Pricing Manager
Our new Pricing Manager enters at an incredible time for the business; we have our FCA license, a fully functioning app and with funding secured, a compelling and realistic plan of action.
But with so many Tetris bricks falling, we need the help of a digitally savvy, nimble and outrageously organised Pricing Manager to keep us in shape and our plans on track.
We are on a quest to be the world's most proactive bank.We improve lives by providing better clarity, intelligence and technology to empower every individual in making the smartest financial decisions.
Starting out with a debit account and credit card,we are broadening our portfolio and setting the foundations in place for a positive, supportive and thoughtful new bank.
We are launching with a fully functional offering and exciting forecasts.Our product is developing with incredible pace; we are now atthe point where we must backfill the missing processes and functions that we overlooked in the drive to launch.
Purpose of the role of Pricing Manager:
This role is 2nd Line Pricing Strategy for new and further lending.
Key Responsibilities of Pricing Manager:
- Use internal and external market data to proactively model pricing scenarios and proposals including NPV models to achieve margin and sales objectives within defined risk and regulatory constraints.
- Market and economic benchmarking to ensure product is operating at a competitive advantage and translating that back to key business functions to support constraint settings
- Continually review effectiveness of pricing and develop recommendations for pricing changes
- Accountable for delivery of profitability through optimising commercial levers
- Operating within a framework of authority delivering price changes within prescribed mandate
- Ensure that pricing is appropriate for the level of risk for each customer segment by working with Risk to understand expected risk by channel, partner and customer segment
- Ensure that pricing changes are implemented to meet representative rate regulatory requirements and in place for promotional activity.
- Key stakeholder for development of new channels, partners and customer segments.
Qualifications of the Pricing Manager:
- 3+ years of relevant pricing experience with extensive experience in lending for credit cards, and/or loans with proven record of designing and implementing Credit Risk pricing and limit Strategies
- Proven history of working in banking, finance and experience in FCA regulated environment.
- Proven record of Credit Risk Strategy for New business, further lending and pricing.
Key Skills of the Pricing Manager:
- Knowledge of commercial levers to deliver P&L results
- Understanding of pricing requirements and impact on commercial results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop complex models using excel (and further?)
- Stakeholder management
- Strong communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Business case development
- Customer centric approach
