This full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to acquire skills and experience in curriculum design and teaching delivery in a high priority topic area.

he role will provide an excellent basis for careers in teaching-focussed/learning and development roles in academic and healthcare settings, operational roles within data science and health informatics, or to continue further study in these areas.


You will assist with and actively contribute to ensuring that programmes in the Division of Informatics, Imaging and Data Sciences receive the support they need to deliver high quality teaching and a transformative student experience.


Some key components of your work will include:

  • Support tutors with preparing and delivering online and inperson teaching sessions, including developing and providing additional teaching materials
  • Facilitate student learning through moderating (online) discussions around course themes
  • Assist tutors with other coursespecific administrative activities, including keeping records of student attendance and engagement
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments, while providing students with constructive feedback
  • Enable the development and sharing of best practices for delivery of different teaching formats across programmes and courses in the Division
  • Assist with coordinating GTA support across the Division
