The Deputy Head of Electrics role will assist the Heads of Department and Technical & Buildings Manager with the day-to-day running of the theatre from a technical perspective.

You will assist with the get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs of new productions and visiting events, as well as assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the theatre.

Whilst the role of Deputy Head of Electrics supports the Head of Electrics, there may be opportunities and occasions when you will be required to support other areas of operation, including stage, maintenance and facilities for example.

In these circumstances, staff would only be asked to carry out a function they were trained to do or capable of undertaking, and this would be a voluntary ask for ad-hoc shifts/situations or part of a shift only.

This excludes exceptional circumstances when all staff need to demonstrate flexibility in making sure productions and operations can function as needed.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, with no two days the same.

There will be opportunities to support work across our West End estate of theatres, working with various productions to ensure a smooth production period.

This role involves regular evening and weekend work.
