Salary:
£ £17.09/hr (Dependent on Skills & Experience)

Hours: 39 hrs per week (with potential overtime)

Shift:
Single Days - Mon - Thurs & Fri

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Centre Lathe Turner to join their Precision Pump Shaft Cell at the Liverpool site.

In this role, you will be responsible for working from precision drawings to rough out and finish turn shafts, which can be up to 4 meters in length, from raw bar stock and forgings made from various grades of steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels using a centre lathe.

Must be timeserved (NVQ 3 or Equivalent).
Proficient in working from detailed engineering drawings.
Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems.
Previous experience in using steadies and turning precision pump shafts up to 4.0m in length.
Previous experience with machining exotic metals such as super duplex, duplex, 718, x750, Hastelloy, Monel, etc.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a previous or similar position.
Strong planning and organizing skills.
Effective communication skills with peers and management.
Keen attention to detail.
