We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Geriatrician to work with us in East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as part of their frailty team.


We are looking for a doctor dedicated to, and passionate about, improving health and wellbeing within the East Kent community.


  • This Role is a long term locum placement opportunity within the frailty team. You will be responsible for bringing fresh ideas and passion to deliver on projects to improve patient care. This role would be based within East Kent, with the opportunity to work across the Trusts' sites and any of our partner Trusts._

Requirements:


Your key responsibilities will be to:

Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care across both the acute inpatient and frailty service. If you're dedicated to keeping older people at home for longer and out of hospital you could be exactly who we are looking for.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Providing exceptional, patient centric care.
  • Involvement in strategic planning in addition to day to day management of the service.
  • Working within the multidisciplinary team to provide training, active involvement in meetings and teaching, in addition to clinical governance responsibility.
  • Participation in relevant CPD
  • Provide exemplary complex care and discharge planning, which highlights your knowledge and competency managing varied and complex cases.

Rates: £100-£125 per h/r depending on experience

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete and minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
