Starfyn Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading Utilities Consultancy for businesses throughout the UK.

They are looking for a Sales Manager who can not only lead the already very succesful CAT team, but to also motivate, train and assit in their professional development.

The role is full time office-based and requires someone who has experience working in Telesales,Managing an outbound call team or a Contact centre team - if you have a good understanding of the B2B sales environment, that would help also.

The role would be well suited to you if you are used to working in an adaptable and ever-changing environment and will enjoy working to deadlines on a day-to-day basis.

The daily role for the Sales Manager will be varied throughout each day, therefore you mustbe able to multi-task, prioritise and ensure high levels of quality are maintained

Role - Sales Manager

Location - Brighton (Monday-Friday, no weekends or BH)

Salary - Up to £35,000 (negotiable)
Bonus scheme and commission offered


Role and Responsibilities:


The Client Acquisition Team 'CAT' is the engine behind their business, generating sound business leads for their sales team of professional energy consultants.

They are often the first point of interaction for potential new customers and an excellent provingground for sales to flourish.

The CAT Sales Manager assists the CAT Manager in the everyday running and efficiency of the team.

Ensuring that staff are maximising call time, achieving their KPIs, managing pipeline and providing on the spot feedback, intervention& training when required.


  • Assist the team in managing their sales pipeline within the inhouse CRM database, working to strict KPI, and booking targets.
  • Ensuring that the day is structured efficiently with a focus on meeting daily targets.
  • Leading the agents in a variety of ways during the day, identifying trends in their performance, call stats etc to ensure maximum call time and efficiency. Addressing any issues promptly.
  • Arrange voice files and mix tapes for training and feedback sessions.
  • Producing and undertaking role plays based on the CAT script for the team.
  • Assisting agents with queries, helping them to find quick resolutions and secure bookings.
  • Lead by example and utilise your experience and skills to achieve sales and service targets, whilst coaching and getting the best from your team.
  • Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic, and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business. Responsible for ensuring that as well as achieving all set targets the customers receive exquisite care.
  • Ensure any bad practice is addressed immediately.
  • Escalate any persistent performance or disciplinary issues to the CAT Manager.
  • Maintain up to date market knowledge to assist in more complex queries.
  • Ad hoc duties as required from Sales Manager and CAT Manager.
  • Always championing the business, whilst interacting with staff, ensuring professional standards are upheld.
  • Continue your professional development and attend training when required to maintain standards.

  • Participate in B2B calls with prospective clients along with the team as needed

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:


  • A background in telesales or B2B sales
  • Team leader, training, or coaching experience, ideally within a sales environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Outstanding telephone presence
  • The ability to adapt to change in a fastpaced environment
  • You will need to be honest, upfront, approachable, empathetic, and fair
