The main purpose of the role is to be accountable for the safe efficient provision of a Flight Information Service.

• Providing an Aerodrome Flight Information Service
• Co-ordinating with other Air Traffic Service units
• Taking PPR requests via telephone and online booking system
• Maintaining an accurate log of aircraft movements
• Answering the telephone and passing messages on accurately
• Responding to Flight Plans and related AFTN messages via AFPEx
• Taking landing fees and other associated costs
• Updating Aeronautical Information via NOTAMs
• Updating Aeronautical publications
• Providing information to internal and external emergency services
• Complying with other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the Senior AFISO and/or the Airport Operations Manager

• Hold a previously validated AFISO licence
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Have a passion for General Aviation
• Hold/able to obtain a satisfactory medical certificate for the role
