JOB TITLE:
ACCOUNTS LEGAL CASHIER

SALARY:
upto £25,000

LOCATION:
Manchester City Centre

HOURS OF WORK:
9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday

BENEFITS:
25+stat holidays - Death in Service Pension + Bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To liaise with the firm's bank in connection with incoming and outgoing chaps payments, inform the relevant fee earners and post the same to relevant ledgers, ensuring monies are available when chaps payments are outgoing.
Preparation of daily office and client account banking.
Issue cheques from both client and office accounts when requested.
Purchase Ledger.
Issue petty cash monies as and when requested and to ensure sufficient monies are available at all times.
To ensure that all clienttooffice transfers are carried out as and when required.
Answer internal and external account queries.
Posting all receipts to the appropriate computer ledgers on the same day.
Checking bills for most departments and posting the same, ensuring fee earners are allocated their relevant costs.
Photocopying, Companies House and Land Registry charges to the correct ledgers daily.
Assist with monthend and any other duties as required by the Accounts Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
Accounts experience
Ability to work in a planned and organised way
Adapts and fits in well, able to work independently and within a team
Awareness of the need for confidentiality
Experience using MS Office
Professional approach
